United Methodist Women (UMW)
The United Methodist Women of Waynesboro First UMC are happy to be able to carry out our mission of helping others. Our local unit is made up of five circles.
The Agape Circle – made up of residents at Brentwood Nursing Home
The Sunshine Circle – meets first Friday morning of each month
The Circle of Grace – meets second Thursday evening of each month
The Tuesday Morning Prayer Circle – meets every Tuesday morning
The Circle of Faith – meets second Monday of each month
Please come and join one of our groups. If you have any questions , please contact Carolyn Hamilton (UMW President)
We believe in missions and have participated in many outreach programs. We support the Bearden’s Ministries, have made Care Kits and Afghans for orphanages in Nepal, made a quilt for the Methodist Children’s Home and sponsor the Angel Tree Project at Christmas for children of imprisoned parents.
We also provide meals for our church families during their time of loss and grief among other various local church projects. We also participate in numerous district UMW events and meetings and several members hold district offices.
We continue to earn recognition as a Five Star Unit and Hall of Fame Unit. All of the praise and glory go to God without whom nothing would have happened.
Thank You United Methodist Women, for honoring Him with all of your work.
